Muddy Waters

This week I chose to focus on Muddy Waters as his music really felt like it represented Chicago even though he is from Mississippi. Blues music, specifically city blues was super influential and opened the door for many forms of music such as R&B and rock and roll. My father was a blues musician so there is a very big place for the blues in my heart. Anytime I hear it I think of my father and it's a wonderful connection to have. I relate to the blues because in many aspects of my life, I feel the blues.
